This strategic location of our place is ideal for the travelers staying with us. It makes exploring Santorini easier because we are only a few minutes away from most of the popular tourist destinations in Santorini, including the port of Fira and the Santorini National Airport.
The closest village to Santorini Mesotopos is the village of Messaria. The village is only a leisurely walk away from our complex, and from there, you can catch a ride to any destination on Santorini, be it by bus or by taxi.
Our complex is also a mere five-minute walk away from the Santorini caldera. Thus, you can enjoy the magnificent and breathtaking views of the volcano surrounded by the sea at sunrise or at sunset, or at any time you want.
How to Get to Santorini
There are two ways to get to Santorini. One is by ferry and the other is by direct flight. Ferries take travelers to Santorini from the neighboring islands, such as Amorgos, Folegandros, Ios and Mykonos. It usually takes less than five hours for these ferries to arrive at Santorini.
There are also ferries that sail regularly to Santorini from Piraeus in Athens on the Greek mainland, as well as from Heraklion in Crete. The trip from Heraklion to Santorini will take about 5 hours, but if you take the flying cat (catamaran) instead, your trip will last approximately 2 hours.
The island of Santorini is served by the Santorini National Airport. There are daily direct flights to Santorini from mainland Greece, Crete and Mykonos. Foreign airlines also take travelers to Santorini directly from other cities in Europe.
